With over two decades of experience in emergency services, including as a North Carolina state trooper and serving as executive protection detail for the governor’s office, David Williams brings a unique, disciplined approach to business operations and leadership. After marrying into the family-owned Reems Creek Nursery, he officially joined the Board of Directors in 2018. In 2021, David transitioned full-time into the garden center industry, leveraging his extensive background in operational design and procedural detail to bring structure, clarity, and growth to the business.

David has since built the company’s HR department from the ground up, implemented comprehensive policy and procedure systems, and designed an organizational structure that has significantly improved workflow and efficiency. In July 2024, he acquired a 40% ownership stake in the business. Under his operational leadership, Reems Creek Nursery has experienced consistent year-over-year growth. David’s strategic mindset, focus on succession planning, and passion for organizational excellence continue to shape the future of the company and inspire other garden center leaders to plan intentionally for long-term success.
